Sedona AZ homes for sale are surrounded by a great sense of history. The American Southwest has a past that is as colorful as the nature that surrounds it. Sedona, in particular, has a rich multitude of Native American and Anglo-American traditions. This is why many of the Sedona AZ homes for sale have what some call the “Southwest” feel.
In terms of world history, the United States is still very young. Arizona, furthermore, appears relatively youthful in relation to the United States. For example, it was in 1876 when the Yavapai and Apache tribes were relocated to San Carlos Indian Reservation, with some members of these tribes returning in 1900. To this day Native Americans continue to intermingle with the Anglos while proudly retaining their culture and heritage. As for the Anglo Americans, their traditions were in farming and ranching, which still holds true today. But if you still think that doesn't show the youthful appearance of Arizona and Sedona, consider this.
Although phone service was available for decades in the United States, it didn't come to Sedona until the 1950s. Even then, some places in the area didn't have electricity until the 1960s. Of course, much has changed in the last 50 years and the area is quite modern today. However, when you look at the United States as a whole, you find much of Sedona, and many Sedona AZ homes for sale, are relatively ‘young’ by comparison.
